171 Batches of Food Products Rejected in October, Friesland Blacklisted

Due to confusion related to the Chinese name of an imported Friesland product which resulted in miscategorization during inspection by Chinese customs officials, two batches of "Dutch Lady" milk beverage were supervised and inspected as dairy products and were rejected by GAC.

As revealed by the GAC announcement issued on Dec. 23, 2019, 171 batches of food products were rejected by Chinese customs authorities in October this year. Snacks, solid beverage, meat, and dairy products account for the majority of rejected imported food. Japanese imports were subject to the highest number of rejections (35), followed by China Taiwan (23) and America (16).
