According to the MFDS report [1] released on July 30th, 2019, South Korea completed the onsite inspection of 212 overseas manufacturers in the first half of the year.
Along with the implementation of Import Food Act [2] publicized on Dec. 11th, 2018, the disqualification rate of onsite inspection in H1, 2019 reached 16.0%, three times higher than 2016. Among the 212 manufacturers inspected, 34 of them were banned from exporting products to South Korea due to the non-compliant sanitation management.
