The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) published the Guidelines for Sanitary Inspection of Good Importers (Processed Livestock Products), to help importers who want to register as a good importer for a foreign establishments of livestock products (processed products).
As the legal basis for livestock importers to register as good importers has been established since last year, this guideline is designed to provide an understanding of the documents required for registration as a good importer and the items to be managed for sanitary inspection after registration.
The main contents of the guideline include an overview of the registration system, standards for sanitary inspection of foreign establishments, guidelines for sanitary inspection, and frequently asked questions (FAQs).
