GB 29924 applies to the labeling of food additives, including nutritional fortification substances (traded as products). This standard does not apply to the labeling of protective packages used for storage and transportation of food additives.
On August 1, 2025, China’s National Health Commission (NHC) opened 30 national food safety standards for public feedback, including the amendment to GB 29924-2013, the General Standard for the Labeling of Food Additives. Any opinions can be submitted before September 26, 2025.
