Draft Regulation of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency on Food Packaging

On October 10, 2025, the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan or BPOM) has completed the public consultation phase (starting from October 6) for its revised draft regulation concerning Food Contact Materials (FCMs) and articles.

The new draft is structured into 8 chapters, 14 articles, and 6 detailed appendices, covering the scope, specific requirements for migration limits, recycled and reusable packaging, assessment and transitional provisions.
