This Guidebook applies to all types of food commodities sold in Singapore. It aims to provide food importers, distributors, manufacturers, producers, packers and retailers with a better understanding of the labelling requirements of the Food Regulations, including the use of claims on food labels and advertisements.
Notably, several sections of the guide, which include (A), (B), (D), (F), and Appendix I (checklist), have been updated to reflect the new or revised labelling requirements introduced under the Food (Amendment) Regulations 2025, which are scheduled to take effect on 30 January 2026.
