This regulation applies to special food products intended for medical purposes for people over 12 months of age who are suffering from diseases, disorders, or specific medical conditions. It includes the following product categories: nutritionally complete food with a standard nutrient formulation, nutritionally incomplete food with a standard or nutrient-adapted formulation, formulas for metabolic "genetic" disorders, and oral rehydration solutions.
