Background

China's food labeling landscape is undergoing a significant transformation with the recent release of GB 7718-2025 General Standard for the Labeling of Prepackaged Foods, GB 28050-2025 General Rules for Nutrition Labeling of Prepackaged Foods, and the Administrative Measures for Supervision of Food Labeling. GB 7718-2025 introduces major updates, including mandatory allergen labeling, new digital label requirements, and revised standards for ingredient labeling and date markings. GB 28050-2025 strengthens nutrition labeling rules with clearer guidelines on nutrient declarations and updated nutrient reference values. The Administrative Measures establish stricter labeling supervision, enforce clearer date markings, and standardize online sales labeling. Together, these reforms aim to enhance consumer transparency and improve regulatory compliance. With implementation set for March 16, 2027, businesses must stay informed to maintain market access and ensure compliance with the evolving legal framework.

This webinar will offer an overview of the key highlights in GB 7718-2025, GB 28050-2025, and the Administrative Measures for Supervision of Food Labeling. Whether you are a food manufacturer, regulatory professional, or industry stakeholder, this session will help you stay up to date with China's latest food labeling requirements and their potential impact on your business.
