China's new Food Safety Law (FSL) which will take effect on 1st Oct of this year ushers in an era with the most rigorous food supervisory and management system ever. Compared to the current 2009 version, the amended FSL further clarifies the responsibilities of food-related departments, bridges regulatory loopholes identified in the past years, enhances obligations for infant formula and health food companies, introduces establishment of a national food traceability system and largely increases penalties for any violations.
This webinar is aimed at interpreting these significant changes with special focus on strictly-controlled products such as infant formula and health food and the food traceability system that is newly required to be set up. Both importers and exporters can expect to figure out what they should do for compliance and learn about further trends of regulatory updates following the implementation of the new FSL.
