It is well-known that Japan is one of the strictest countries in food safety supervision. At present it has set up a series of perfect supervision system related to food safety, especially in inspection and quarantine of imported food. All imported food must be inspected by Food Quarantine Office and customs, and extra inspection is required for agricultural products.
