Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), a new material possessing characteristics of both plastic and rubber, has been widely used as a replacement for traditional rubber and other plastics. Its application has been extended to tableware, sealing rings, conveyor belts of food processing plants etc. Due to the novelty and relatively recent commercialization of TPE, corresponding regulatory compliance requirements lack maturity and compliance requirements still vary significantly between the regulatory frameworks of different countries and regions.

This webinar will provide a brief introduction to TPE, and detail the regulatory requirements of TPE materials in China, the United States and European Union. Finally it will offer some suggestion on that how enterprises can deal with regulatory challenges in those countries.
