Summary

This regulation provides guidelines on the content, labeling of nutritional ingredients, nutritional value, and implementation roadmap for pre-packaged food products manufactured, traded, imported, and distributed  in Vietnam.

However, It does not regulate the following raw materials and foods:

  • Raw materials and foods not sold directly to consumers, including food stones;

  • Food has a single ingredient;

  • Natural mineral water, bottled drinking water (including CO2 and/or flavoring supplements);

  • Food salt, fine salt;

  • Table vinegar and substitutes for vinegar, including type of only added flavoring;

  • Flavourings, additives and food processing aids dye;

  • Yeast (enzyme) of food;

  • Tea and coffee do not contain other additional ingredients except for coloring and flavorings;

  • Health protection foods;

  • Alcoholic beverages;
