The regulation amends the Food Regulations 1985. It revises the conditions for nutrient function claims in the Fifth A Schedule, including Trans fatty acids, Folic acid, Iron, Iodine, Calcium, etc. It also amends the Sixteenth Schedule by inserting or substituting Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for various pesticides in specific foods.
