Due to improvements in living standards, the dairy industry in China has recently grown in size and complexity. New products, such as skimmed and semi-skimmed yogurt, adult milk powder, and probiotics drinks, have largely displaced traditional dairy products. At the same time, the Chinese government has promulgated new food safety laws and regulations, which have had enormous implications for dairy producers. Despite the obvious challenges, the Chinese dairy industry has grown dramatically in recent years, with improving supply chains, and figures to be a catalyst for future growth and innovation for dairy in Asia.
In light of the evolving dairy market in China, and following up on its successful events series, Duxes will host the 5thDuxes Dairy China Summit 2017 in Beijing, on April 24-26. The summit will bring together more than 200 delegates, drawn from leading companies, industry associations, and government, to discuss the important challenges and developments in the Chinese dairy industry.
The summit will begin with a pre-conference event on April 24th, focusing on trends and innovation in dairy industry packaging. The following two days will feature industry experts presenting and discussing on a wide range of pressing issues in dairy, including the effects of the “Administrative Measure for Registration of Infant and Young Children Milk Powder Formula Recipes” on infant formula and milk powder producers in China, safety controls from the raw material stage to the end, new marketing channels, detailed analyses of trending products, including yogurts, probiotics, and goat milk, specialized local and farming knowledge, and other topics of importance.
In providing this platform for exchange, both across the dairy industry, and among public, private, and non-profit institutions, Duxes hopes to facilitate the spread of best practices, and assist in improving the outlook of the dairy sector in China. Professionals involved in the dairy industry, or engaged in retail, farming, logistics, packaging, food additives, and other related fields, are invited to attend the summit.
