Food ingredient compliance represents a critical gateway to market access, and 2024 has witnessed series of transformative regulatory developments across global markets.
In Asia Pacific, China took a significant stride by unveiling its new national food safety standard for food additives (GB 2760-2024). Japan implemented refinements, selectively removing certain substances from its positive list of food flavoring and fragrance. Thailand updated the nutrients levels in dietary supplements and proposed to amend the MOPH Notification regarding the use of food additives. Indonesia updated the list of permitted nutrients in health supplements with restrictions. Several new food ingredients were granted approval in Australia, New Zealand. Other key markets, including Singapore, Philippines, and India, also had relevant regulation changes or amendment for the use of food ingredients.
In EU, quite a few ingredients were approved for the use in multiple food categories, including infant formula and food supplement. Canada also has new food ingredient approved in 2024.
This webinar aims to provide a comprehensive overview of food ingredient updates in global. Whether you're a compliance professional, regulatory affairs specialist, or industry stakeholder, it will help you build the knowledge needed to adapt to these critical changes.
