This standard specifies three methods for the determination of melamine in raw milk, dairy products and milk-containing products, namely, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC method), liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS method) as well as gas chromatography-mass spectrometry [including gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS method), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS method)].
