This standard replaces GB/T 14251-1993, and specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, quality requirements, food safety requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of metal containers of canned food. This standard applies to the empty cans and filled can containers of canned food made of coated tinplate or chromeplate and aluminum alloy sheet.
