On September 3rd, 2020, China consulted on [1] the expanded use scope of Sodium Hyaluronate, which was first approved as a new food ingredient for health food production in 2008.
The application proposed to expand the use scope to dairy products, beverages, alcoholic drinks, frozen drinks, cocoa products, chocolate products and candy, excluding infant food. Feedback shall be submitted to CFSA ([email protected]) prior to October 3rd, 2020.
