China Updates Cross-Border E-Commerce Positive List

29 products are newly included into the List of Import Goods through Cross-border E-commerce, including tomato juice, mustard flour and its condiment. Now quite a few CBEC-traded animal and plant products can only be imported via bonded warehouse mode, including dairy products, meat products and aquatic products. Besides, some animal and plant products require certificate to prove that they do not belong to “Import and Export Wild Species Product Category”.

On Feb. 21st, 2022, eight departments (including Ministry of Finance, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Ecological Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, General Administration of Customs, and Endangered Species Import and Export Management Office of PRC) jointly announced to optimize the List of Import Goods through Cross-border E-commerce. The new list will be effective starting from Mar. 1st, 2022.
