[Updated] Legislation Scheme of Chinese National Food Safety Standards in 2021

The national standard of vitamin K2 (synthesis method) is about to be formulated. General safety requirements for food contact materials and articles (GB 4806.1-2016) is about to be revised.

China's National Health Commission published the approved 2021 legislation scheme of national food safety standards on August 18, 2021. Compared to the consultation draft below, only the names of two items were changed.

As revealed by the notice1 released on June 9, 2021, China released its legislation scheme of 22 national food safety standards in 2021. The 22 GB standards include seven for food additive, two for food related products, eight for physicochemical test methods, two for nutrition fortifiers, etc. 

Any feedback shall be sent to the secretariat of National Food Safety Standard Review Committee (Fax: 010-68792408) prior to June 15, 2021.
