NHC Approves Four New Food Additives and Two New FCM Additives

The application scope of four food additives and two FCM additives have been expanded by the NHC.

As revealed by the notice [1] released on Nov. 11, 2020, six new ingredients were approved by China’s National Health Commission (NHC), that includes 4 new food additives and 2 new FCM additives. They are:

  • Monascus red,

  • Citric acid,

  • Sucralose,

  • Sodium polyphosphate,

  • Polyethylene,

  • 2-Propenoic acid, polymer with 1,3-butadiene and ethenylbenzene.
