On Aug. 17, 2018, CFSA opened 8 new food related products to public feedback, including 5 new additives applied in food contact materials and articles, 2 novel resins and 1 resin with expanded application scope.
New additive varieties
Most of those new additives are applied in plastics, coating, paper and paperboard. The details are listed below:

NHFPC’S No. 5 announcement of 2016 has approved its usage as a basic resin in food contact materials and articles (FCM). The latest annoucement details the proposed expansion in usage scope to include infant and baby food FCMs. Any plastic materials and articles made from this substance should not be subjected to temperatures of > 100℃.
