Vietnam Issues Circular 30/2026/TT-BYT Replacing Nutritional Labelling Circular 29/2023

Vietnam’s Circular No. 30/2026/TT-BYT updates the legal references underpinning nutrition labeling rules by shifting key citations to Decree No. 37/2026/ND-CP.

The Circular keeps the core nutrition declaration framework unchanged, including the mandatory nutrients, exemption categories, and labeling method for covered prepackaged foods.

On July 9, 2026, Vietnam's Ministry of Health issued Circular No. 30/2026/TT-BYT Guidelines on the Content and Labeling of Nutrition Facts and Nutritional Values on Food Labels. The new Circular takes effect on July 10, 2026 and, from that date, replaces Circular 29/2023/TT-BYT Guiding how to Record Nutritional Facts on Food Labels, which previously set Vietnam's nutrition labelling rules for prepackaged foods.
