China’s General Administration of Customs (GAC) recently released an announcement regarding the “Co-operation Arrangement on Customs Facilitation Measures for Wine Entering the Mainland through Hong Kong” (hereinafter refer to “Facilitation Measures”) . The announcement, effective on 20 Oct 2015, has optimized the existing Facilitation Measures and added more ports where the scheme is applicable.
As of 20 Oct 2015, the geographical scope of the Facilitation Measures has been expanded to all the ports under Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen custom’s jurisdiction.
To avail of the Facilitation Measures:
Chinese mainland importers should make a customs declaration to the aforementioned ports.
Hong Kong exporters should submit relevant information through the online declaration system subject to the approval of Hong Kong Customs.
