The forthcoming implementation date of China’s new Food Safety Law has provided a key impetus for Chinese authorities to undertake further reform and implement a series of supporting legislative revisions. Recently, AQSIQ introduced the upgraded filing management system for importers and exporters which will be activated on 1 Oct 2015.
It is laid down in AQSIQ Announcement No. 55 of 2012 that importers, exporters and domestic agents are required to fulfill the filing process with AQSIQ through the system inputting only truthful and accurate information. The filing should be conducted through the new system from 1 Oct 2015 on at http://ire.eciq.cn.
In regards to CIQ documentation requirements during inspection the names of the importer and exporters as well as the filing number should be provided on the inspection form. The application dossier and the import and sale records of the last batch of the product (where relevant) should be also be submitted.
