On 6 Mar 2015, China Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) announced the suspension of two Norwegian aquatic product manufacturers due to the discovery of non-compliant salmon products at port.

Imported frozen salmon from both these companies have been detected with ISAV (infectious salmon anemia virus) at Chinese ports and were subsequently destroyed.
CNCA has conducted related reexamination on the unqualified products in accordance with Administrative Provisions on Registration of Overseas Manufacturers of Imported Foods, and has decided that the certification of the two manufacturers be temporarily suspended due to their continuous risk control failures during production. At the same time, CNCA has given notice to the Norwegian authority of the related information.
