Following the suspension of Agrana Stärke GmbH (an Austrian infant formula manufacturers), another two producers, Töpfer GmbH in Germany and NUTRIBIO in France have had their CNCA accreditation revoked temporarily.
China CNCA updated the list of approved overseas infant formula manufacturers on 1 Jun. The bad news for two manufacturers (Töpfer GmbH and NUTRIBIO) is that they have had their CNCA accreditation suspended meaning their IF products cannot be exported to the Chinese market until the problem is fixed and re-accredited by CNCA.
Although CNCA doesn’t specify the reasons for the punishment, it’s likely to be associated with the spot check result published by Heilongjiang FDA last month. The following products were identified as being non-compliant with Chinese national standards and their manufacturers are the three suspended. The major reasons for being unqualified include violation of requirement in the national standard and the inconformity between the actual and labeled values.
