China General Beverage Standard Amendment

China’s Standardization Administration (SAC) has approved the first Amendment to GB 10789-2007 General Standard for Beverage which has been effective since 30 Jun 2014. In the Amendment a recommended article is added, which is:

“Article 7 Requirements of consumer identifiers for bottled water
Recognizable words, figures, symbols, numbers for consumers or coating and space for marking are encouraged to be displayed on the package of bottled water by means of coding, printing, connection, pasting, spraying or else.”
