“Administrative Measures on Safety Examination of New Food Raw Materials”

• The Technical review Agency for new food raw materials of NHFPC shall be responsible for the technical review of the safety of new food materials and formulate conclusions and recommendations in the comprehensive review (2nd Paragraph of 5th article).

• The comprehensive review shall include the results of both safety review and social stability risk assessment (added after 14th article).

• If the approval license was obtained through fraud, bribery or other illegal means, the applicant will be forbidden to apply for it in the following 3 years (2nd paragraph of 21st article).

“Administrative Measures on New Food Additives”

• “Ministry of Health” is substituted with “NHFPC” in the text.

• The Technical review Agency for new food additives of NHFPC shall be responsible for the technical review of the safety of new food additives and formulate conclusions and recommendations in the comprehensive review (5th article).

• Deleted the third paragraph of 10th article on testing items.

• The comprehensive review shall include safety and technical results of both safety review and social stability risk assessment (added after 11th article).

• If the approval license was obtained through the provision of false materials or the concealing of relevant ones, the applicant will be forbidden to apply for it in the following year.

• If the approval license was obtained through fraud, bribery or other illegal means, the applicant will be forbidden to apply for it in the following 3 years (added after 14th article).
