China’s Ministry of Agriculture Announces New Decisions on Five Agrochemical Substances

After extensive consultation and reviews within the National Agrochemical Registration Committee, China’s Ministry of Agriculture decided to update regulations on the following 5 agrochemical substances: Endosulfan, Bromomethane, Acephate, Carbosulfan, Dimethoate.
In accordance with the provisions contained in China Food Safety Law and the Management regulations of Agrochemicals, this new set of rules aims at fulfilling the requirements contained in the “Stockholm convention on persistent organic pollutants” and the “Copenhagen Amendment to the Montreal protocol on substances that deplete the ozone layer”.
