On January 6, 2026, the European Commission released a draft implementing regulation to amend the list of products of animal origin, animal by-products, and composite products that are subject to official controls at EU border control posts. The proposal aims to add several new product categories to the existing list under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/632 to eliminate ambiguity and ensure comprehensive border inspections.
