GCC Drafts English Version of GSO 2235:2025 Requirements of Nutritional Labeling

GSO 2233:2025 introduces a harmonized nutrition labeling framework for prepackaged foods across GCC markets. The standard also sets unified requirements for nutrition facts panel formatting, including %DV, NRVs, tabular presentation where possible, and tolerance rules for declared nutrient values.

On June 8, 2026, the Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) released an initial English draft of GSO 2233:2025, Requirements of Nutritional Labeling, intended to serve as the English translation of the officially adopted Arabic version of the standard. The draft is open for public consultation until September 6, 2026.
