India to Amend Requirements for Infant and Follow-up Formula

FSSAI plans to revise the requirements for infant formula, follow-up formula, milk cereal based complementary food, and processed cereal based complementary food.

On April 5, 2023, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) consulted on the Food Safety and Standards (Foods for Infant Nutrition) Amendment Regulations, 2023. The revision involves the requirements for infant formula, follow-up formula, milk cereal based complementary food, and processed cereal based complementary food. Any feedback shall be submitted within 60 days started from April 5, 2023.
