Legislation Scheme of SAMR of 2022

On April 27, 2022, State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) unveiled its legislation scheme of 2022, covering the optimization of business environment (e.g., Anti-Unfair Competition Law), administrative measures on food products, etc.

The regulation and administrative measures subject to legislation/revision are classified into two types. For legislation items belonging to type 1, the drafts shall be submitted to relevant department for review by June 30, 2022, then the department will do all they can do to submit the draft to SAMR for the final review by the end of 2022. As for legislation items belonging to type 2, the drafting body should promote the legislative progress efficiently, although no specific deadline is given.
