On May 3rd, 2018, Macau Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau released the "Hygienic Guideline for Packaged Drinking Water", which will serve as the primary reference regulators will use to assess product quality/safety. The guideline mainly specifies sampling method and items, including sensory requirements, physical and chemical indicators, microorganism indicators and other requirements.
The product will be identified as unqualified if any one of the items listed in physical and chemical indicators table (except sensory requirements) is found non-compliant. Here are the detailed parameters:
