NHFPC has announced the approval of four materials as new food additives in April, which are ε-polylysine, ε-poly-L-lysine٠HCl, vegetable activated carbon and 5-pentyl-3H-furan-2-one. In the same Announcement the application scope of two food additives, namely sulphuric acid and ferrous sulfate, has been extended as well.
