South Korea Formulates Regulations on Foreign Facility Registration

South Korea passed Regulations on Foreign Facility Registration, which came into effect on Sept. 19, 2018.

On Sept. 19th, 2018, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) in South Korea promulgated No. 118 notice, Regulations on Foreign Facility Registration. Based on the Special Act on Imported Food Safety Management amended in 2018, this regulation regulates the registration of foreign owned food facilities including foreign owned abattoirs, milking parlors, processing plants for meat and egg packages, factories for meat storage and meat processing, dairy processing plants, etc
