South Korea: New Pesticide MRLs Information Platform

MFDS optimized the online contaminant information platform. ChemLinked compiles the instructions to get access to the platform.

The frequently updating of pesticides Max Residue Limits (MRLs) reflects the Korean government's commitment to enhance the food safety control. On the other hand, it increases the burden on enterprises to monitor the changes and maintain MRLs compliance at the same time.

To help the industry easily find the detailed MRLs, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) launched the optimized the online contaminant information platform on January 19, 2022.

To get access to the platform, please follow the below instructions:

1. Go to https://www.foodsafetykorea.go.kr/residue, and click on “전문정보” and “잔류 유행물질 정보” as marked in the red frames.

2. It will lead you to the below page. Now you can search by pesticide name, veterinary drug name, or food name.

3.     For example, if you type in “Napropamide”, a window will pop up to show the detailed limits in different foods.
