South Korea Promulgates 6th Food Safety Management Basic Plan (2026–2030)

On December 30, 2025, the South Korean government, involving ten central administrative agencies including the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA), and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF), officially announced the "6th Food Safety Management Basic Plan", which outlines the national food safety policy direction for the next five years (2026–2030).
