Thailand’s 2026 herbal product notification opens general and online retail channels for low‑risk “health herbal products” and “herbal cosmeceuticals,” removing major market-entry barriers.

On February 18, 2026, the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) announced the implementation of the Ministry of Public Health Notification on Criteria, Methods, and Conditions for Herbal Products for General Sale, B.E. 2569 (2026). Enforced since February 3, 2026, this notification unlocks previously restricted sales channels for low-risk products, specifically "health herbal products" and "herbal cosmeceuticals."
