Vietnam Proposes New Decree on Halal Product Management

On July 24, 2025, Vietnam's TBT authority notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) of a new draft Decree on the Quality Management of Halal Products and Services. Spearheaded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), the decree aims to establish a unified legal framework for the quality, certification, labeling, and trade of Halal products and services in Vietnam. The goal is to align with international standards, protect consumer rights, and facilitate trade.
