The Decree sets detailed requirements for Halal standards, ingredients, hygiene, slaughter, labeling (including use of the term “HALAL”), traceability, and recognition of domestic and foreign Halal certification bodies. 3. These rules aim to enhance compliance, consumer trust, and international market access by aligning Vietnam’s Halal regulations with widely recognized global and Islamic standards.
On April 6, 2026, the Vietnamese Government released Decree No. 127/2026/NĐ-CP on Quality Management and Development Policies for Halal Products and Services, which applies to a wide range of products, including food, beverages, health supplements, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
