Japan Revises the Residue Limits of Pesticide and Veterinary Drug in Food
May 17, 2021
On May 13, 2021, Japan MHLW announced to revise the maximum residue limits (MRL) of 5 pesticides and veterinary drug stipulated in the "Standards and Criteria for Food and Food Additives, etc. ". They are Chlorpyrifos, Diethofencarb, Deltamethrin and Tralomethrin, Pymetrozine, and Myclobutanil. The changes came into effect after the promulgation.

The use of 2'-fucosyllactose/difucosyllactose (2'-FL/DFL) mixture should not exceed 160 mg/100mL in infant formula targeting at babies not more than six-month-old, and its maximum usage in infant formula designed for babies between six- and twelve-month-old is 120 mg/100mL.
