EU’s Organic Food Regulations

In the European Union, Regulation (EU) 2018/848 serves as the overarching framework governing the production and labeling of organic food and feed products, having superseded Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007. This regulation further strengthens certification protocols and import controls, complementing the general official control requirements established under Regulation (EU) 2017/625. Beyond this foundational act, a comprehensive suite of delegated and implementing acts regulates organic food safety and quality across various aspects.
