BPOM released a new draft regulation to update the licensing standards for food and drug sector.
The proposed standards for business licensing are clearer, more streamlined, and better aligned with current regulatory practices.
In early September, Indonesia food and drug authority (BPOM) released a new draft regulation to update the licensing standards for food and health supplements. This proposal is intended to replace the current BPOM Regulation No. 10 of 2021. The draft regulation, which is open for public feedback until September 10, 2025, introduces a more defined risk-based approach to business licensing, intended to streamline approvals while strengthening safety and quality oversight.
