To prevent the risk of Covid-19 input through imported frozen foods, on Sep. 11, 2020, China GAC released Notification No.103 specifying emergency prevention measures on overseas manufacturers from which the imported frozen foods were tested positive for Covid-19. The notification came into effect immediately on the date of its publication. [1]
The detailed measures are as follows:
When imported frozen foods or their packages from the same overseas manufacturer are tested positive of Covid-19 for the first and second time, GAC will suspend import declaration from this manufacturer for one week each time.
When imported frozen foods or their packages from the same overseas manufacturer are tested positive of Covid-19 for the third time or above, GAC will suspend import declaration from this manufacturer for four weeks each time.
It is ChemLinkeds recommendation to any business involved in frozen foods to make sure that the packages and its ingredients are Covid-19 free prior to import as to not impact your business.
