China’s Standard Technology Department is soliciting public comments on four new GB/T approval-draft standards for health food raw materials: Spirulina, broken Ganoderma lucidum spore powder, Coenzyme Q10, and Melatonin.
These GB/T standards refine and operationalize the existing Health Food Raw Material Directory by specifying scope, signature components, impurity and contaminant limits, as well as labeling, packaging, transport, storage and inspection rules for each raw material.
On March 27, 2026, the Standard Technology Department released a notice soliciting public opinions on 13 recommended national standards (approval drafts). Among them are four standards specifically establishing quality and technical requirements for health food raw materials: Spirulina, Broken Ganoderma lucidum spore powder, Coenzyme Q10, and Melatonin. These standards aim to provide more operational technical specifications based on the existing Health Food Raw Material Directory. The deadline for submitting feedback is April 27, 2026.
