China SAMR Expands Filing Options for Coenzyme Q10 and Melatonin Health Foods

China’s SAMR has expanded the permitted dosage forms for single-ingredient Coenzyme Q10 and melatonin health foods under the filing pathway, adding powder and oral liquid and oral liquid, effective March 1, 2026.

The regulation broadens the approved excipient lists for these products, including new sweeteners, stabilizers, and fruit/vegetable powders tailored to specific dosage forms.
