China Customs Rejection Data in March 2021, Baby Foods Involved

Three batches of complementary baby foods were rejected in March for unqualified labeling, failing to meet the calcium content stated in the national standard, and excessive moisture.
On Apr. 20, 2021, General Administration of Customs of China (commonly abbreviated as GAC) released the list of non-compliant food products in this March1. A total of 172 batches of imported food from 27 countries/regions were rejected, with Taiwan, China at the top (14%, mostly snacks), followed by Italy (13%, mostly solid drinks).
