China Xiamen Issues 5 Cold-chain Logistics Standards

On 28 Dec 2015, Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision issued the following five local cold-chain logistics standards, which will come into force from 1 Jan 2016.

Xiamen was designated as the pilot city for development of cold-chain logistics between China mainland and Taiwan in 2011. Despite this the city’s cold-chain logistics have lagged far behind other developed cities in term of facilities and technologies, industrial standards as well as overall management. The issuance of these 5 local standards is designed to update Xiamen’s local regulations in line with best practices.
