On 28 Dec 2015, Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision issued the following five local cold-chain logistics standards, which will come into force from 1 Jan 2016.

Xiamen was designated as the pilot city for development of cold-chain logistics between China mainland and Taiwan in 2011.
